Alanis Morissette sued her former tour manager over an alleged blackmail plot.MEGA
Alanis Morissette is accusing her former tour manager of trying to turn a travel incident into a massive payday.
The Jagged Little Pill singer filed a lawsuit September 1 against Keren Urinov, alleging civil extortion, fraud and negligent misrepresentation. In the complaint, Morissette claims Urinov threatened to falsely report her for drug trafficking unless she was hired as a full-time tour director for 15 years with major compensation.
“Morissette will not agree to work with an incompetent blackmailer for the next 15 years or pay her a ransom under the gun,” the complaint states.
The Airport Incident

The lawsuit stemmed from an airport incident involving a bag containing drugs.MEGA
Morissette hired Urinov, an Israeli live music executive and former Live Nation executive, to temporarily manage her 2025 summer tour.
According to the lawsuit, trouble began during team travel in July 2025, when Urinov was questioned at a U.K. airport after allegedly transporting a bag containing marijuana and xylazine, a non-opioid animal tranquilizer.
The bag had previously been seized while Urinov was flying to Spain for a concert, and she was questioned upon their return to the U.K. Morissette claims Urinov told the British Border Force that the drugs “belonged to her.”
The Alleged Demands

Alanis Morissette alleged her former manager demanded a 15-year tour contract.MEGA
After the tour ended, Morissette alleges Urinov and her attorney sent “a series of increasingly extortionate letters” threatening to file a lawsuit in the U.K. if the singer did not tell British law enforcement the drugs were hers.
The complaint claims Morissette was told she could put an “end to the matter” by agreeing to Urinov’s demands.
Morissette says she refused not only because of the alleged blackmail, but because Urinov had been “a terrible manager of the 2025 tour.” The filing claims one hotel booking error cost Morissette nearly $70,000.

Keren Urinov Denies Blackmail

Urinov’s attorney, Mark Lewis of Patron Law, rejected Morissette’s allegations in statements to multiple outlets.
“Keren Urinov is only aware that defensive proceedings in the U.S. have been issued against her from contacts by the media,” Lewis told Page Six. “No proceedings have been served on her nor ever threatened.”
Lewis said Urinov “totally rejects any allegation of blackmail” and is seeking to clear her name.
“We are content to let the Court determine what happened rather than trying to concoct a false narrative,” he said.
A Separate London Case

The legal dispute expanded as Keren Urinov pursued a separate case against Alanis Morissette in London.MEGA
Urinov filed her own legal claim against Morissette in London on August 19. Details of that case are not yet clear.
Morissette is seeking a jury trial and more than $75,000 in compensatory damages.
