Anstead — who is also dad to daughter Amelie, 22, and son Archie, 19 — and Zellweger, 57, were first romantically linked in 2021, after they met while filming Anstead's show Celebrity IOU Joyride. PEOPLE confirmed that they were officially dating in June 2021.

"Sometimes two people just meet and click, and the timing is right," a source told PEOPLE at the time. "Renée is creative ... and often goes for guys who think out of the box. She's smart, thoughtful, and always looking to expand horizons and nurture those around her."

"I mean, Renée's so personable, and so great with people, and they've met a few times on FaceTime, so everybody was excited to finally get together," he said. "Of course, everybody got on famously. It's really nice."

For her part, Zellweger made a rare mention of Hudson in a 2025 interview with British Vogue.

Grant, 65, was surprised by her answer and asked, "Why?"

"Because that’s where my fellow lives, and his little boy," the Oscar winner replied.

Back in April, Anstead and Zellweger marked a special milestone in their relationship as they celebrated five years together.
