Donald Trump has once again tried to make fun of Robert De Niro by sharing an AI-generated image of the actor online.

On Sunday, the Republican leader, 80, took to Truth Social to post a doctored snap of the legendary actor, 83, holding a red T-shirt with the writing "Trump is my president" on it.

Captioning his post, Trump wrote, "Even this jerk is beginning to get it!" De Niro is one of Trump's most outspoken Hollywood critics.

He has often described the president as "tyrant," "bully," and an "existational threat" to American democracy.

The star has heavily aligned himself with the "No Kings" movement, leading national protests against Trump's administration and warning the public that Trump wants to undermine the US.

In retaliation, Trump often fires back at the Oscar-winning actor on social media.

In early 2026, following a critical speech by De Niro, Trump lashed out on Truth Social, calling the actor "sick," "extremely Low IQ," and "seriously CRIMINAL," while even suggesting that the US-born actor should be deported alongside other political rivals.

Trump's latest post against De Niro prompted many social media users to hit out at the president.

After a screenshot of the Truth Social post was shared on X, a person wrote, "He's so pathetic."

"UTTER BULLS--T," another posted. "DeNiro detests him, lol. His brain is toast," a third tweeted.

"What absolute f-----g loser energy," someone else wrote.

It comes just months after De Niro delivered a fiery critique of President Trump and his administration during a surprise appearance at a First Amendment celebration event.

On June 14, The Godfather actor thrilled attendees with an unexpected guest spot at the Rise Up, Sing Out gathering in New York City at The Town Hall.

The high-profile event aimed to unite communities in protecting Americans' freedom of expression against government suppression, corporate complicity, or threats.

Giving a speech, De Niro said, "I'm devoted to our Constitution's First Amendment. All parts of it - not just the free speech part. That said, I'm pretty close to being a free speech absolutist.

"Even speech I don't like, and there's plenty of that around. So when I hear something I don't like, I use my own free speech to respond."

"Let me give you an example. When I hear Trump say, like he did a few days ago, 'I don't think about Americans' financial situations, not even a little bit.' I say shut the f--k up," De Niro continued, "He said he won the 2020 election. Shut the f--k up."

The actor was referencing an interview Trump gave on the South Lawn of the White House on May 12, 2026, shortly before his departure for China.

When questioned about whether Americans' financial hardships were influencing his decision to negotiate with Iran, the president responded, "not even a little bit," a remark that sparked intense criticism.
