Dua Lipa Explains the “Deeply Personal” Way Her Chanel Wedding Gown Honors the Dog She Shares With Husband Callum Turner

Dua Lipa spoke out about a “deeply personal” detail Chanel’s Matthieu Blazy wove into her wedding gown when she married Callum Turner on June 6.

Blazy embroidered the dog she shares with Turner into the gown—specifically at “our favorite park in London,” she said on October 29.

“It was a true masterpiece crafted with extraordinary precision and care and filled with so much meaning,” Lipa said.

Bit by bit, Dua Lipa is sharing details about her wedding to Callum Turner over the summer—which she’s previously called a “magical” experience.

This time, the singer is letting fans in on a “deeply personal” detail embroidered in her Chanel haute couture wedding gown, the dress she wore to marry Turner for their second ceremony in Sicily on June 6 after marrying in a smaller civil ceremony in London days prior on May 31.

At the 2026 WSJ. Magazine Innovator Awards on October 29 in New York City, Lipa—wearing a Chanel skirt suit and headpiece—presented a fashion award to the house’s artistic director, Matthieu Blazy. As she introduced him, she described how Blazy incorporated special details into her wedding dress. Lipa was the first Chanel wedding gown designed by Blazy “for a friend of the house,” according to Chanel (and per People).

Her wedding dress, Lipa said, was the “most beautiful thing I’d ever seen and I’d ever worn,” calling it “one of the most unforgettable moments of my life.” She added that Blazy “wove such deeply personal messages into” the gown, “even an embroidery of our dog in our favorite park in London.”

“It was a true masterpiece crafted with extraordinary precision and care and filled with so much meaning,” she added. “And now one day I’ll get to tell my grandkids, ‘Granny got married in Chanel couture.’”

Chanel previously shared that Lipa’s gown—which featured a low back and a feathered train—was embellished with crystals and 480,000 beads. There were 25,000 feathers used in the underlining of the dress, and she wore a headpiece and floor-sweeping veil.

“When he [Blazy] asked me how much drama I wanted and how many feathers I wanted, I just said, ‘Yes,’” Lipa said on Thursday.

Earlier in the week, for her civil ceremony, Lipa wore a Schiaparelli skirt suit that resembled Bianca Jagger’s wedding attire when she married Mick Jagger in 1971. Throughout her wedding week, Lipa also wore a custom Bottega Veneta halter dress, Bulgari jewelry, and a bespoke Chloé floral lace dress for the morning after her wedding.

Speaking to Vogue Italia in August 2026, the performer called her wedding to Turner “magical,” adding that they were given advice “To live that day as if we were guests, too—and therefore with less anxiety and more fun, et cetera—and to constantly look for each other among the people, without ever losing sight of each other. This way we really have so many memories together.”

Turner broke his silence on their wedding in August, speaking to Esquire and calling the event “amazing” and “the most beautiful day of my life.” The actor added that getting congratulated in public afterwards was “surreal,” adding, “It’s a weird thing in general when you have such a personal thing happen and then it’s also spoken about publicly and by a lot of people.”

Lipa and Turner first sparked romance rumors in January 2024, and made their relationship Instagram official that July. Lipa confirmed their engagement in June 2025, telling British Vogue, “This decision to grow old together, to see a life and just, I don’t know, be best friends forever—it’s a really special feeling.”

For his part, Turner told Esquire, “It’s nice to find someone that you love and who loves you and you want to be around all the time.”
