Gene Simmons recalled a moment where he stuck his tongue "almost down" Adam Sandler's throat
The incident happened at a party some years ago
Sandler previously gave his version of the story on Conan
Gene Simmons isnât one to not kiss and tell.
The KISS rocker, 76, opened up about a moment with Adam Sandler some years back in which he planted a big one on the unsuspecting actor at a party.
Simmons said in an interview with actor Adam Lupis on Thursday, March 12 that he was at a charity event hosted by Sandler, 59, in which a band was playing on stage.
The Happy Gilmore actor asked the rocker if heâd get up and do a song or two, and he obliged â though Sandler was entirely unprepared for what happened next.
âAdamâs in there because heâs a real rock fan, jumping up and down, and somebody was taking a photo of us,â Simmons recalled. âI wanted to turn Adam into my bitch, so I stuck my tongue almost down his throat.â

The star has a famously long tongue, which he often shows off during his performances. For his part, Sandler recalled his side of the story in humorous fashion on Conan in 2019, though in his telling, it happened at one of Sandlerâs Christmas parties.

âWeâre on stage playing a KISS tune, [and Simmons] pulls out the tongue. The tongue comes out, 7-incher,â Sandler said. â[He] starts coming at the Sandman with the tongue, and Iâm like, playing along, and then Iâm like, âOh man, heâs getting real close.ââ
He continued: âCame at the Sandman, big tongue right to me. I think he gave me a couple of licks. I took it like a man.â
Simmons made headlines earlier this week during an interview with TMZ in which he said celebrities should âshut the f---â up when it comes to politics.
âDo your art and shut up. Nobodyâs interested in their opinions. That includes me, who I vote for, who I like. Who the f--- do you think you are?â he said. âPeople in America work hard for their living, and they donât want to be lectured to by people who live in mansions and drive Rolls-Royces. Itâs time for everybody in the entertainment industry to shut their piehole and just do your art. Nobody cares what you think. I don't."
The declaration comes after years of Simmons speaking out, with opinions both positive and negative, about President Donald Trump.
