Halle Berry wants to help women in various stages of menopause reclaim their sexuality.
The actress, 59, who announced her engagement to musician Van Hunt, 56, in February, has partnered with Joylux to launch a new vaginal dryness gel treatment, Juicy Like a Peach, out now. “When I got plummeted into perimenopause, I knew nothing about it,” she tells PEOPLE exclusively in this week’s issue. “I had a rude awakening. I was in the bowels of hell trying to deal with it.”
Berry, who says she had already been experiencing symptoms for 10 years, had no clue it was all related. “None of my doctors uttered a word about menopause, perimenopause, change of life, nothing,” she says. “They all just kept telling me, ‘You look great.’ They never told me that no matter what you look like, your hormones are changing and your insides are aging. Like, nobody dared say that.”

The actress, who founded Respin, a wellness platform that now supports women in midlife and through menopause, decided she had to become a vocal proponent. “I realized that I had spent my whole life doing what I loved, I had a voice, and that I should use it for good,” she explains. “And this was a good way for me to use my voice for good, because I felt like, ‘If I’m feeling this way I can imagine millions of other women are too, and let’s start the conversation.’ ”

Partnering with Joylux, Berry just launched Juicy Like a Peach, to help women in menopause “feel like themselves again,” she insists. “That was always my goal, ‘How do I find that juice again?’ And that I connected to my youthful years when I was always juicy, juices were flowing constantly. And I desperately wanted that feeling again. I desperately wanted to reclaim my sexuality, my intimacy, I wanted to feel confident again.”

She equates the new product “to what Viagra does for men,” Berry adds. “It allows us to maintain our moisture, to have pain-free sex so that we can feel confident and be spontaneous again. It’s changed my sex life. I have my confidence back. I’m always ready now.”

The FDA-cleared vaginal dryness treatment features proprietary HPMC-5 technology that creates a breathable moisture-retention barrier that helps maintain comfort, reduce dryness, and relieve painful sex for women. “It’s what we’re all hoping for,” says Berry. “Because that’s what this new technology actually does. It really does make you, I kid you not, drippy, juicy like a peach.”

The actress is now hoping to help erase any stigma associated with women’s health and aging. “I woke up one day and realized, I deserve better from my doctors. We deserve better as women. We can’t just be told, ‘I don’t know what’s happening to you,” she says. “My real second act will be continuing to advocate for women for menopause research. With Respin, with products like this that women need and really do help us.”
Juicy Like a Peach is now available at Joylux.com, followed by availability at on Ulta.com beginning July 12th and over 400 Ulta Beauty stores nationwide on July 26, 2026. The product is priced beginning at $43 for a subscription purchase, and $59 for a one-time purchase.
