Hilary Duff shared a rare photo of her 14-year-old son Luca to celebrate his first day of high school.

The Disney Channel alum shares Luca with ex-husband, former NHL star Mike Comrie.

Duff and husband Matthew Koma are the parents to daughters Banks, Mae, and Townes.

Hilary Duff is officially the mom of a high schooler. (Feel old yet?)

The Lizzie McGuire star is gearing up for the school year, which includes obligatory first day of school pictures. Duff shared a rare photo of her oldest, Luca, as he heads off to ninth grade. She shares the 14-year-old with ex-husband and former NHL star, Mike Comrie.

Luca posed in a white polo shirt, holding a sign that read, “FIRST DAY OF 9TH GRADE.” His pop star mom added the text, “High school,” at the bottom, with a heart.

Duff gushed about Luca in 2022, when he turned 10. “Luca Cruz what a gift you are to all that know you. I can’t imagine how it’s already been 10 years since I got to first hold you in my arms and meet your big blue eyes,” she wrote on Instagram.

“This time with you has been something I can’t even explain. It’s my pleasure to watch you grow. To know your heart and be loved by you. You are magic and I can’t wait to see all the cool things you do and will teach me over the next 10 years.”

Duff also posted a selfie with 7-year-old Banks and 5-year-old Mae, two of the three daughters she shares with husband Matthew Koma. “Back to school girlies,” she wrote of the sisters in their matching polos. The musicians also share daughter Townes, 2.

Duff’s daughters made a special appearance at one of her sold-out Madison Square Garden shows during this summer’s The Lucky Me Tour. The girls joined their mom onstage for a mid-concert pizza party, with some authentic New York pizza.

Duff has been candid about motherhood throughout the years. In 2024, days after Townes was born, she celebrated Mother’s Day with a sweet video montage of her kids. “Happy Mother’s Day- it’s messy and hard and high and low and sticky and bright and warming and beautiful,” she began her Instagram caption.

“So grateful for all these people who chose me. So grateful to have this mayhem under one roof - appreciative of the support systems we have- grateful for my comic of a husband - all my friends , moms or not, and very important to also be grateful for myself.”

“I dig deep everyday to give enough or a little more to these people I love and really find out what I’m made of… I wouldn’t know how to do that if my mama didn’t do it for me♥️ sending love out 😘💗💐✨,” concluded Duff.

The “What Dreams Are Made Of” singer also told PEOPLE in 2021 that she embraces the “mayhem” of motherhood after welcoming daughter Mae. “I’m so in love with all my kids and I love this mayhem,” she gushes at the time.

“I love when everyone’s full of energy and the house is buzzing. You never know what the day is going to bring or what your kid’s going to say,” she added. “We’re in the thick of it, and it feels good.”
