Kathie Lee Gifford, a vocal Christian, has jabbed the LGBTQ community for adding what she says is too many letters to its title.
During a new interview with controversial media pundit Tomi Lahren (below), the former *Live With Regis and Kathie Lee* and *Today* morning TV personality said she's fed up with using so many specific characters to describe LGBTQ folks.
Lahren began a portion of the conversation by bringing up what she called former child star Shia LaBeouf's "tough times," particularly after an interview in which the *Even Stevens* actor admitted he's afraid of "big gay people" in life.

"The scriptures do have something to say about it, you can look that up, too," Gifford replied, with Lahren then asking the 72-year-old to address how someone can "reconcile" with being a hardcore Christian but also being "big into LGBTQ" issues.
Gifford replied, "That one is a four-letter word, and it's called L-O-V-E, love."
She added that she's "had as many or more gay friends than straight friends," before shading the LGBTQ community's identify letters.

"I don't even know how many letters there are now. They've really got to stop with that. We know what you mean, you know?" Gifford said. "I'm not telling anybody how to live their life. I never have. I just know what Jesus said: Love your neighbor as you love yourself. Love God first."
She also admitted that she hears the voice of God (not audibly, she clarified) urging her to live life with a core message at heart.
"'Kathie, you will be too busy loving people that you disagree with to judge them,'" she said. "I don't judge anybody. That's God's business."
She left Lahren with one more note on the subject, telling her, "If you're more interested in what the scriptures say, Google it."
On other LGBT issues, Gifford previously spoke around a decade ago about dealing with Caitlyn Jenner's transition.
"It's still Bruce's voice, but it's coming out of Caitlyn's mouth now," Gifford said on *Watch What Happens Live* of Jenner, who is trans. "I never saw that coming. Not in 35 or so years of being dear friends. We went around the world together as families, [my husband] Frank and I are godparents to Kylie and Kendall. I don't have gaydar at all, so I certainly am not going to have transgender-dar. People are people to me."
