The NFL’s Top 100 list has been completely revealed, yet there is one glaring omission in the form of Cowboys left guard Tyler Smith.
The list is voted on by players themselves designed to recognize the league’s best, making Smith’s absence particularly notable as he has become one of the NFL’s most dependable and feared offensive lineman.
The 25-year-old earned his third-consecutive Pro Bowl selection this past season since moving from tackle to guard in 2023.
ESPN voted Smith as the top interior lineman in their annual positional rankings yet it was not enough to earn a spot from his peers throughout the league. In total, the list named just eight total offensive lineman; five tackles, two guards, and one center.
ESPN also ranked Smith as the 88th best player on their annual Top 100 list yet that voting group is comprised of 12 analysts and reporters — not peer-driven.

Dallas also believes highly in Smith's services after they gave him a four-year, $96 million extension almost a year to the day, locking him up through the 2030 season. At the time, it made him the highest-paid guard in all of football.
This snub should give Smith and the rest of this Cowboys' line more fuel to add to the collective fire that anchors one of the best offenses in all of football.
In all, only three Dallas players made the list with wideout CeeDee Lamb coming in at No. 55, receiver George Pickens at No. 36, and quarterback Dak Prescott the highest ranked Cowboy at No. 31.
His absence from the Top 100 doesn't necessarily change his standing around the league, but it does raise questions about how the voting process values offensive lineman.
