Nikki Glaser has revealed she was about to steal one "cool artifact" from Taylor Swift's wedding - but Tom Cruise stopped her.

The comedian, 42, was among the celebrities who attended the pop star's nuptials at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

However, all guests at the star-studded ceremony were forbidden to use the phone, meaning nobody could take photos to prove their attendance.

Nikki, who is a self-proclaimed Swiftie, addressed her experience attending the wedding during her residency at Caesars Palace Las Vegas.

In audio obtained by Entertainment Weekly, the comedian was heard saying, "I was actually inside, and I have nothing to show for it.

"Because I had to turn in my phone. I had to turn off my phone, which I had never done before. I didn't even know you could do that."

While Nikki couldn't take any photos of the A-list couple's nuptials, however, she revealed that she was hoping to steal a keepsake to remember the occasion.'"

She said during her Vegas residency, "I got really close to stealing something from it. Because I was like, 'I want one cool artifact from this."

Nikki told her fans that while guests danced - with Mark Zuckerberg doing the robot and Jelly Roll doing the worm - she headed towards the back of the venue, where the wedding cake was.

At that point, she looked up and noticed that the cake topper representing Taylor was missing, so she thought she might snag the one featuring Travis.

She admitted, "I look up at the cake. And on the top tier, where the two little cake toppers are, it's just Travis. Taylor's missing.

"And I'm like, 'Someone already took Taylor, I'm taking Travis.' Like, this is the perfect thing to get."

However, Nikki joked that when she was "two seconds from putting it in my purse," Top Gun star Tom, 64, stepped in and told her, referring to the cake topper, "Put me down!"

The comedian quipped, "And I'm like, 'Oh my god!"

Even though she wasn't able to bring anything home from the wedding, Nikki said she had a great time and made long-lasting memories alongside the other celebrities in attendance.

Taylor and Travis celebrated their love with around 1,000 guests, with actor Adam Sandler acting the surprising officiant at the ceremony and Stevie Nicks performing among a crowd packed with stars of sports and entertainment.

The deep secrecy that surrounded the buildup to the nuptials lifted when a marquee outside the Midtown Manhattan arena proclaimed "JUST&T MARRIED" once the deed was done.

The couple did not have bridesmaids or groomsmen, instead having Taylor's younger brother Austin Swift serve as her man of honor with Travis' big brother and podcast co-host Jason Kelce his best man, the singer's publicist Tree Paine said in an email.

The bride and groom's outfits came from Christian Dior Haute Couture and its designer Jonathan Anderson with shoes custom-made by Christian Louboutin. She wore Cartier jewelry.
