Raven-Symoné named her Disney Channel Mount Rushmore on Tuesday's March 10 Stepping Into The Shade Room
She highlighted late actor Lee Thompson Young for being the first Black lead on a Disney Channel show
Fans debated her choices online, with some suggesting Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, and Demi Lovato as contenders
Raven-Symoné is getting candid about her time at the Disney Channel — and her former peers.
The multi-hyphenate, 40, stopped by the Tuesday, March 10 edition of Stepping Into The Shade Room, where she was asked to name the Disney Channel stars on her Mount Rushmore.
After being offered examples of former stars like Hilary Duff and Zendaya, Symoné said, "I would say me, Hilary, Shia [LaBeouf]."
When Miley Cyrus, who starred in Hannah Montana, came up, Symoné said, "I would also put in The Famous Jett Jackson," a show that starred Lee Thompson Young, who died in 2013.
“No, not Miley,” Symoné said before adding, “I love you, Miley, but not Miley. She came after.”
As for why she included Thompson Young, Symoné said that it is because "he was the first Black show on Disney."

"He definitely deserves a spot," she said.
Symoné is known for starring in the titular role of Raven Baxter, a teenager who experienced psychic “visions” whose powers often got her friends and family in and out of trouble on That’s So Raven, which ran from 2003 to 2007. The show was rebooted as Raven’s Home from 2017 to 2023, with Symoné reprising her character.

In a clip of the segment shared by The Shade Room on Instagram, commenters had mixed opinions on who should be on the Mount Rushmore of Disney Channel.
"For her era, this 100% correct with Kyla Pratt as an honorable mention! After that it’s Miley, Selena [Gomez], Demi [Lovato], & the Sprouse Twins [Dylan and Cole] for sure," one person wrote.

"Did yall not hear… this is HERS!!! also he was the FIRST black person as a lead on Disney so he definitely paved a way. Miley is Miley, but Jett Jackson was definitely a trailblazer," another person commented.
