- Savannah Guthrie changed her outfit mid-show on Tuesday's episode of *Today*.
- All her colleagues were wearing yellow, and she felt left out in blue.
- Apparently, Tuesdays will now be yellow day.
Savannah Guthrie does not like feeling left out when it comes to her *Today* show colleagues.
The anchor of the morning show surprised her fellow newscasters when she changed outfits midway through Tuesday’s broadcast after noticing everyone else was wearing a shade of yellow.
During the PopStart segment of the show, Carson Daly, in a blue suit jacket and tie, quickly noticed that Guthrie was the only woman not wearing the sunny color. (Jenna Bush Hager, Dylan Dreyer, and Sheinelle Jones were all sporting yellow looks, and even co-anchor Craig Melvin had a yellow-and-blue-striped tie on.)
When “Steals and Deals” correspondent Jill Martin also hosted her segment in yellow, Guthrie had had enough.
“You guys, did you really have a memo? I’m changing!” she confessed before a commercial break.
Next thing her cohosts knew, Guthrie was in a yellow gingham dress on the *Today* plaza.
“I love that you just found this yellow dress,” Dreyer told Guthrie, who replied, “I did, girls! I wanted to be with my ladies.”

Dylan Dreyer, Savannah Guthrie, Craig Melvin, and Carson Daly on ‘Today’ on July 7.
For his part, Melvin was shocked by the timing of her wardrobe switchup: “Oh my God, you changed that fast!”
Apparently, Tuesdays are now a yellow-hued day, as Hager stated, “I told her on Tuesdays we wear yellow,” to which Guthrie replied, “We’re starting it today!”
Daly didn’t want to feel left out either and swapped his blue tie for a yellow tie during the next commercial break.
“Nothing to see here,” Daly quipped, noting his new tie was on loan from Melvin.
Guthrie raved, “Now that is impressive.”

Yellow seems to be a significant color for Guthrie as the *Today* anchor has received yellow flowers and her colleagues have worn yellow ribbons in support of her mom Nancy Guthrie’s abduction case.
Nancy, 84, went missing from her home in Tucson, Ariz., on Feb. 1, and an investigation has been ongoing.
Savannah, who returned to *Today* in April, released a statement to local news station KOLD on Wednesday after it was determined ransom notes related to the case were fake.
She reflected on the “five months of agony and unending trauma” since her mother vanished without a trace.

“There is not a moment that goes by that we aren’t actively trying to find our mom,” Savannah said. “We thank the people of Tucson for holding her in their hearts, as well as both the FBI and the Pima County Sheriff’s Office for their tireless work on behalf of our family. Bring her home.”
