Kate Middleton and her little sister Pippa Middleton are a tight-knit pair.
The duo, who are less than two years apart in age, have remained by each others’ side through the highs and lows that come with being public figures. When Kate Middleton married Prince William in 2011, her little sister served as maid of honor, dutiful carrying her epic train and instantly becoming one of the most famous bridesmaids of all time. And though the Princess of Wales didn’t have a formal role at Pippa’s wedding in 2017, photos from the special day show Kate helping fluff her sisters dress, greeting guests and also wrangling kids who made up the bridal party — including Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

The year after the royal wedding, the two had a sister date — while using Kate’s newfound familial perks! They took in an afternoon of tennis at Wimbledon, while sitting in the royal box. Pippa told Matt Lauer in 2014 that her sister’s royal status hadn’t “particularly” changed their relationship. “Obviously she has pressures that she’s taken on and things, but we spend a lot of time together,” she said. “We still do a lot together as a family. And I think that’s sort of the heart for all of us, having a really close family. We can sort of be normal with each other, treat each other normally, and that’s sort of kept us all fixed to the ground.”
