During a recent appearance on the Hey Jonas! podcast, Seth Meyers revealed some Saturday Night Live group chat secrets.
The comedian also named another former costar as the funniest texter āindependent of a group.ā
āA voice note from Fred was better than a thousand donuts,ā the late-night host declared.
The Jonas Brothers managed to get some Saturday Night Livegroup chat secrets out of Seth Meyers.
Meyers appeared on the latest episode of the brothersā Hey Jonaspodcast, during which Kevin Jonas questioned the late-night host about his correspondence with his former SNL castmates. āYouāre still close with so many of your former SNL castmates. Are there any group chats?ā the eldest of the Jonas trio queried. āIf so, whoās in them? Whoās the most active? And do they all have a funny name?ā
Meyers handled the bombardment of questions with ease, revealing that the group chat with the āfunniestā name belongs to one with only two other people: his former Weekend Update cohost Amy Poehler and his producer, Michael Shoemaker.
āWeāre The Tripod, the three of us,ā Meyers shared. āThatās sort of a lovingly supportive one.ā

As for group chats with his other costars, Meyers admitted that the others donāt have funny names, but do consist of some funny people. āYou know, Andy Samberg, Fred Armisen, and Bill Hader, those guys are on one,ā he confirmed.
And in a phone full of funny guys, one has to take the crown.
āI will say the funniest texter independent of a group, [is] Fred Armison,ā Meyers shared. āWould not surprise anybody, just got ā with no context ā a Happy Fatherās Day message from him but it was a voice note [and] he was Homer Simpson. Just talking a lot about how he hopes I got donuts for Fatherās Day.ā

Meyers and his and wife Alexi Ashe share three children ā Ashe, 10, Axel, 8, and Adelaide, 4.
Kevin, Joe, and Nick, all fathers themselves, were dutifully impressed by the gesture, with Kevin noting that heād āsave that one.ā
While Meyers didnāt get any donuts for the holiday, he said: āYou know what? A voice note from Fred was better than a thousand donuts.ā
āI will say, itās also like exactly the funniest version of a Homer Simpson impression where itās like definitely not great, but also thereās some talent involved,ā he added. āThereās just a little something.ā
