A source reveals to PEOPLE how Swift’s bespoke gown was made to match her signature style

Taylor Swift‘s wedding dress was a dream come true.

A source reveals to PEOPLE that the pop star, 36, tied the knot with Travis Kelce in a bridal gown that was “perfectly Taylor.”

The insider shares that the custom Christian Dior Haute Couture gown the “Bejeweled” singer chose for her special day featured a “long veil and train.” They add, “She looked so beautiful. It didn’t stray from her style.”

Both Swift and Kelce, also 36, opted for bespoke ensembles, including his white tux, created by the house’s creative director Jonathan Anderson at Dior’s atelier at 30 Avenue Montaigne in Paris.

In a statement shared by the label, it was revealed that Swift’s wedding ensemble was Anderson’s “first couture wedding dress for a world-renowned celebrity.” (The designer, who joined Dior in 2025 after working at Loewe, sent a bridal gown down the couture runway earlier this year and dressed Chinese supermodel and actress Ming Xi.)

The newlyweds — who wed in New York City at Madison Square Garden on Friday, July 3 — also wore Christian Louboutin shoes, with the bride wearing Cartier for her jewelry.

In a July 6 interview published by WWD, Anderson said it was a “joy” collaborating with Swift on a piece made just for her special day. “We became very good friends,” he told the outlet, adding, “It’s an emotional thing doing someone’s wedding.”

Swift and Kelce, who announced their engagement in August 2025, exchanged vows during a ceremony that transformed Madison Square Garden into what sources described to PEOPLE as a whimsical secret garden. Guests walked through a peach-colored entrance before entering a rose garden-inspired reception, while another section of the venue was transformed into a forest with towering trees, ferns and other lush greenery.

“The whole evening felt very guest-centric,” one source told PEOPLE. “There was always something to do, see or play. There was never a dull moment.”
