Music producer Jacknife Lee’s wife, Melissa, revealed that her husband deleted Taylor Swift’s wedding invite because he thought it was spam. Notably, Lee reportedly received a text message invitation to Swift and Kelce’s wedding ceremony from the singer’s manager. However, he did not click on the attached link, assuming someone was trying to hack into his account.

Music producer Garret Jacknife Lee’s wife, Melissa Garner Lee, shared that they didn’t make it to Taylor Swift’s wedding because her husband thought the invite was a hoax. Melissa penned a piece for HuffPost, wherein she revealed that her husband accidentally deleted their invitation to Swift and Kelce’s wedding because he thought it was spam.

Lee explained to his wife that he had received a text message from the pop star’s manager. But he didn’t reply to it because something about it felt off. He told her, “Yeah — remember I told you I got a text from her manager? But I didn’t respond to it. It didn’t sound like him.”

Melissa then reasoned that it was probably the singer’s assistant who had sent the invite to him. To which her husband replied in a somber tone, “Oh.” Unsurprisingly, her husband’s reaction left Melissa speechless. She wrote, “We’ve been married for 32 years and have lived in the same house all of that time, but apparently we occupy two different worlds.”

Lee eventually realized and confirmed to Melissa that they had indeed been invited to Swift’s wedding. However, he didn’t click on the invite as he thought someone was trying to hack his address book.

As a result, Melissa temporarily left the room, “reeling in frustration” over her husband’s mistake. When she returned, Lee asked why she’d “even want to go” to the couple’s wedding. To which Melissa stated, “I wanted to go because it would give me a bit of hope.” She elaborated that Swift and Kelce’s wedding might have given her “hope for love” and “hope for some good in the world.”

Melissa also hoped to witness musical guest Stevie Nicks perform at the nuptials. Finally, Lee apologized to her for the fiasco and tried to pacify her by saying, “It’s really hot out there — it would’ve been hot.”
