People can’t get enough of ā€œThe Puerto Rico Songā€ on social media.

On Wednesday, July 8, the song’s creator Bill Stiteler and Discover Puerto Rico joined forces to release a brand-new music video for the catchy tune that went viral after its release and caught the attention of stars like Charlie Puth, Sarah Hyland and Jennifer Love Hewitt.

ā€œI created the song because Puerto Rico is one of those places that leaves a lasting impression on people,ā€ Stiteler (a.k.a Saxboy Billy) said of the track — which was made with Suno, the AI music generator — in a press release.

He added, ā€œI never imagined it would resonate with so many people online, let alone lead to an opportunity to film an official music video across the Island. It’s been incredible to see how people have embraced it.ā€

In the music video for the song, Stiteler prances around several iconic locations in Puerto Rico and takes viewers on a visual journey across the Island.

Some of the locally loved filming locations include: Old San Juan, El Morro, Distrito T-Mobile, Toro Verde Urban Park, downtown Caguas, Balneario Monserrate, TerruƱo and the Kioskos de Luquillo, as well as Las Croabas in Fajardo.

ā€œFrom the moment we saw the incredible response to the Puerto Rico song online, we knew it represented something much bigger than a viral trend,ā€ Storm Tussey, Chief Marketing Officer of Discover Puerto Rico, said in a press release.

Tussey continued, ā€œThe song captured the joy, pride, and energy that people feel when they experience Puerto Rico. By bringing Bill to the Island, we wanted to celebrate that authenticity while showcasing that Puerto Rico is so much more than a single destination. This video is an invitation to discover the people, communities, and experiences that make the Island unique.ā€

The song was released in May, and since then, celebrities have embraced it on social media.

The same month it released, Puth, 34, uploaded a video of himself lip syncing to the AI song on TikTok. Meanwhile, Hyland, 35, shared a video of herself lip syncing the song on vacation in Puerto Rico with husband Wells Adams and friends. She captioned the post, ā€œMagical weekend.ā€ Similarly, Hewitt, 47, shared a video of herself lip syncing-the song as she moved around a room and captioned the TikTok post, ā€œObsessed.ā€

More stars who used the song on social media include Danielle Fishel, Ian Munsick, Cody Simpson and 5SOS.
