The Seattle Seahawks just dominated the Kansas City Chiefs on national television.

The Chiefs made the trek up to Seattle to take on the Seahawks on Sunday Night Football, and it was an ugly showing for the Kansas City offense. The Seahawks walked away with a dominant 20-3 victory, and it will go down as one of the worst offensive showing for the Chiefs since Patrick Mahomes has been the starter.

Mahomes ended the night with just 165 yards, no touchdowns, and one interception. All the team could muster was one field goal, and the team struggled to move the ball all night.

After the game, one stat came out that shows just how dominant this defensive performance was by the Seahawks.

Historically Bad Offensive Performance for Mahomes, Chiefs

Mahomes wasn’t the only Chief who struggled to get going. Star running back Kenneth Walker III was also held to his worst game of the season in his return to Seattle.

In fact, the Chiefs only gained 11 first downs all night, which is the fewest amount the team has ever had in a game started by Mahomes. That’s no small sample size, either, as that’s now 153 games.

That’s not the only crazy stat, though. This is also the fewest points, total yards, and red zone drives in any game started by Mahomes.

The Seahawks’ pass rush also did it’s job, pressuring Mahomes on 53% of his dropbacks, which is the fourth-highest pressure rate of Mahomes’ career.

Mahomes has not even thrown for fewer than 180 yards in many games. In fact, the quarterback had only been held below that mark twice in the last two years before Sunday night.

If the Seahawks’ defense can keep playing like this, it’s going to be next to impossible to beat them.
