Christmas Hauls -

Like clockwork on Dec. 25, TikTok For You pages are flooded with a particular brand of video in honor of the Christmas holiday: gift hauls

Three TikTok creators — Brooke Roberts, Marissa Mills, and Flo — went viral last year for showing off their gifts during the holiday

They each tell PEOPLE the gifts they're still loving a year later

Like clockwork on Dec. 25, TikTok For You pages are flooded with a particular brand of video in honor of the Christmas holiday: gift hauls.

Creators, fresh from a day of unwrapping presents with their families, set up their cameras in their bedrooms with their gifts strewn out on the floor and proceed to narrate every item they received, almost like an unboxing video on steroids. And sometimes, the posts go pretty viral.

Ahead of Christmas, PEOPLE reached out to three TikTok influencers — Brooke Roberts, Marissa Mills, and Flo — whose 2024 Christmas hauls garnered hundreds of thousands of likes and millions of views to ask several burning questions about their viral hauls last year, including which gift is still their favorite 12 months later.

“Here’s my 2024 Christmas haul that nobody asked for,” began Roberts, a 23-year-old influencer based in Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., in her TikTok haul last year.

In the three-minute video, which has been viewed over 4.7 million times, the creator showed off her haul, which included makeup from Hailey Bieber’s beauty brand Rhode, hair clips, a Sephora gift card, and a New Year's Eve outfit from Abercrombie & Fitch.

But her favorite gifts, she tells PEOPLE in December, were a matching white-and-black toiletry set and a denim Coach purse with gold detailing.

“That Coach bag has been a staple in my everyday life,” she says.

Before uploading her viral haul last year, admits Roberts, she was “a little nervous” — noting that there has been some controversy surrounding the haul trend in recent years.

“But the reactions I got were great!” she continues. “It’s always fun seeing what everybody has to say, whether that’s bonding over receiving the same gifts, or people sharing what they got. It creates a fun community in the comment section, which I love!”

Marissa Mills

In her 2024 Christmas haul, Mills, a 20-year-old TikToker from Sydney, Australia, admits that her array is “absolutely insane” — she said as much in the opening of her viral video from last year.

“I was not expecting this,” she said, before diving into the individual presents. “And when I tell you I’m still mind-blown — I cannot even believe it myself.”

Last year, Mills’s stash included a Pandora charm bracelet, another gold band engraved with the lyrics to Taylor Swift’s song “All the Girls You Loved Before,” dozens of makeup products and tools, new bedsheets, a pink instant camera and a Stanley Cup.

Her “biggest gifts” — which she said she cried when she opened — were from her parents: A new iPhone and iPad.

“I definitely use my phone the most,” Mills tells PEOPLE of her haul, 12 months after going viral. “It has provided me with the opportunity to grow my platform, featuring better quality videos and more storage space.”

She continues that she was “surprised” that her haul went as viral as it did (the video has over 400,000 likes and millions of views).

“I loved watching them and thought I would create one myself,” Mills says. “I often watch it back and feel so grateful.”

Flo

Flo, an 18-year-old New Yorker, tells PEOPLE she “wasn’t really surprised” when her Christmas haul went viral last year — since “all of my comments leading up to Christmas were begging me” to do one.

In the video, which has close to 700,000 likes, the TikToker showed of her heaps of presents: a Tiffany ring (“I didn’t ask for this but I guess it’s cute”), a Beats speaker, a sweat set from Alo, a Canada Goose jacket, among many other goodies.

But the gift she uses the most a year later? It would “definitely” be her iPad Pro and convertible Dodge Challenger car, she tells PEOPLE.
