Vote for the Ingles WNC high school girls Athlete of the Week, May 4-9

Following the Week 11 of spring sports in Western North Carolina, it's time to vote for this week's Ingles Western North Carolina girls Athlete of the Week.

North Buncombe softball's Lilly Clark was named last week's Ingles WNC girls Athlete of the Week, while Roberson's Christian Norton won the boys poll.

Vote for the girls athlete who had the best performance last week. The poll closes on Thursday at noon.

Joscelyn Stamper, Cherokee: Stamper won the discus at the 2A West Regional with a throw of 137 feet and won the shot put with a throw of 39 feet, 6 inches.

Kylie Gingras, Erwin: Gingras threw a complete-game no-hitter, striking out 10 with three walks in an 11-0 win over Forestview in the first round of the 5A playoffs.

Anna Timan, Franklin: Timan won the 100-meter hurdles at the 5A West Regional with a time of 15.19 after finishing fifth in the prelims. She also won the 300-meter hurdles, running 46.08.

Emory Freeman, Hendersonville: Freeman won the 100-meter hurdles at the 3A West Regional with a time of 17.03 seconds and took the 300-meter hurdles in 49.64. In the high jump, Freeman's mark of 5 feet, 2 inches earned her first place.

Bailey Barrett, North Buncombe: Barrett threw 127 feet in the discus to win the 5A West Regional and hit a mark of 34 feet, 2 inches in the shot put for another title.

Izzy Toothman, Reynolds: Toothman scored the game-winning free kick to help Reynolds defeat Asheville High 3-2 in double overtime.

Chloe Adams, Robbinsville: Adams took first place in the 200-meter dash at the 1A West Regional, running a time of 26.70 seconds. She also won the long jump, hitting a mark of 16 feet, 10.5 inches, and the triple jump, reaching 36 feet, 1 inch.

Annie Lewis, Swain County: Lewis swept the long-distance events at the 2A West Regional. She won the 800 meters in 2:15.95, the 1,600 meters in 5:18.06 and the 3,200 meters in 11:17.76, taking first place by nearly a minute.
