The Moore Mechanical Athlete of the Week for the Petoskey-area is back for the spring sports season!
All results for this week's poll come from Monday, May 4 through Saturday, May 9 from Emmet and Charlevoix Counties.
Congratulations to East Jordan softball's Emma Murray on being named last week's athlete of the week after keeping up her outstanding sophomore season.
Murray earned the win with 54.58% of the vote, edging out Boyne City's Anderson Ward for the honor.
Vote for these athletes from Monday, May 11 to 4 p.m., Thursday, May 14. Look for another Moore Mechanical Athlete of the Week from the Petoskey-area next week.

Alexis Groves, Harbor Springs track
In the Northern Shores Conference championships, Groves was second in the 100 and third in the 200, both in new PRs. She also helped the 4x200 and 4x100 relay teams to first and second place finishes, respectively.

Sidney Bush, Boyne City softball
Bush passed 100 career hits last week against Charlevoix, when she recorded a double, homer and drove in eight total runs. She also earned the win vs. the Ryders, a win vs. TCSF and struck out 13 vs. Bellaire.
Nora Racignol, Petoskey soccer
Racignol helped Petoskey to a shutout win over Sault Ste. Marie last week with two goals to add to her senior season total.
Caiden Phillips, Harbor Springs baseball
Phillips kept up his big season against Elk Rapids and East Jordan last week, totaling two doubles, five RBIs, and four runs scored. He also earned the itching win vs. Elk.
Ella Sulitis, Petoskey track
In the Big North finals, Sulitis tossed two new personal bests in the shot and discus. She was second in the shot in 33-feet, 1-inch, then third in the discus in 89-feet, 2-inches.
Hunter Eaton, Charlevoix track
Eaton was strong in the Northern Shores championship race, placing first in the 1,600 and 3,200 meter runs, then also ran a PR in the 400 in 50.70 seconds, placing second.
Fran Pool, Petoskey softball
Pool had another big week with a 6-for-8 line with six RBIs, two home runs and a double against TC West, then also homered against Cadillac, bringing her season total to 10.
