*RuPaul's Drag Race* season 18 star Discord Addams might live up to the first part of her name when she saws metal plates on her body during shows and shreds on the guitar in her punk band, but she says she's not sowing any discord on the cast of the show.

After rumors swirled earlier this year that a contestant had been disqualified from the upcoming production of RuPaul's Emmy-winning MTV show (returning this January), the Florida-based queen clarifies to EW in an exclusive round of video interviews with the cast (below) that she was not, in fact, ejected from the competition.

In response to a question about fans surfacing over the summer an unverified, alleged social media post from *All Stars 5* winner and Marvel's *Ironheart* actor Shea Couleé that suggested contention, Discord says the exchange in question "was kind of just fun, and then the internet took it as I'm this awful human being who deserves to be dead" before cameras finished rolling.

"There's a rumor going around right now that i'm disqualified from this season. Like, we're not even having this conversation right now. I'm not even here," the entertainer says, before recapping a fake version of events fans alleged happened to her on set.

"I'm fully disqualified. Here's what happened. RuPaul found that tweet from Shea, realized that I'm a awful, terrible racist, and then disqualified me from the season. And I'm edited out," Discord says.

She stresses that it's "obviously not" true, "or I wouldn't be here" doing interviews for the season ahead.

She later says that there's even "a rumor I got in a fist fight over an eyelash curler" and that's what led to her supposed disqualification on set.**

"I think it all stemmed from that tweet," she speculates. "Shea and I are friends. I have pictures with Shea. That was my girl," Discord, who is originally from Ohio, says, explaining that before moving to her current city of St. Petersburg, Fla., she lived in Chicago, where Shea resides.

Elsewhere in her EW interview, Discord says that she's "the blueprint of punk drag" because she's "been doing this for 14 years" on stage, and has even previously collaborated with industry figures like James St. James.

Discord traveled a long road to get to the *Drag Race* stage, after she says that drag fans in her home region didn't initially like — or even understand — her brand of punk-infused drag at the time.

“They hated what I was doing. I would do my weird s--- on stage, and instead of money, people would just throw glass at me," Discord says, stressing that, “They wanted to hurt me. This was like, angry twinks" who she says tossed drinks and lit cigarettes on her as far back as 2012.

Now, the queen will compete alongside 13 others on the upcoming season, which also includes entertainers related to former RuGirls like Plane Jane, Morphine Love Dion, Bosco, and Irene the Alien.

*RuPaul's Drag Race* season 18 premieres Friday, Jan. 2 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on MTV, followed by new episodes of *Untucked* immediately after. Watch EW's exclusive interviews with the cast in the YouTube video above.
