The outing comes weeks after a source told PEOPLE that Reynolds and Minka Kelly had split
Sofía Vergara and Dan Reynolds were spotted sharing a bite to eat over the weekend, and a source tells PEOPLE it was nothing more than a get-together between pals.
On Sunday, Oct. 25, TMZ shared photos from a dinner in Los Angeles between the Imagine Dragons frontman, the Modern Family alum and a pair of friends, including Anastasia Soare.
While Reynolds, 39, and Vergara, 54, appeared to touch hands at one point, an insider says “it was a friendly group dinner.” PEOPLE reached out to representatives for both the musician and actress for comment.

The outing comes weeks after a source told PEOPLE that Reynolds and Minka Kelly split after four years together. The breakup “happened recently,” the source close to the couple said. Their last public appearance together was in May 2026, when they made their red-carpet debut at the 2026 Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) Gala. They were spotted together for the first time in fall 2022 while out for dinner in Los Angeles.
Vergara and her ex-husband, Joe Manganiello, split in 2023 after seven years of marriage. In January 2025, she appeared to confirm her split from orthopedic surgeon Justin Saliman when she told Access Hollywood at the Golden Globes that she was manifesting “health, money, a boyfriend” in the new year.

Imagine Dragons wrapped its Loom World Tour in June after touring in support of the band’s 2024 album of the same name.
Meanwhile, Vergara reunited with several of her Modern Family costars in August, sharing photos with Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Julie Bowen and Ed O’Neill.

Vergara reflected on the six years since Modern Family ended in her Instagram caption. She previously opened up to PEOPLE in June about her bond with O’Neill, whom she called “such a great friend.”
“So to have someone like Ed O’Neill guiding you and helping you through a show like Modern Family was a dream,” she said at the time. “I couldn’t have done it without him and I miss him. It’s been already six years that we stopped, but I miss everybody. I wish that we could all come to ... We see each other but not as much as we should.”
