Jimmy Kimmel Live won't air new episodes until the new year.
The ABC talk show hosted by Jimmy Kimmel will air reruns for the last two weeks of 2025 before returning with new episodes in 2026. The show has taken a holiday break for the last two weeks of December in previous years, including 2024 and 2023.
However, ABC stations will still air Jimmy Kimmel Live reruns on most weeknights of the next two weeks. On Monday, Dec. 22, the show will broadcast its Dec. 10 episode with Matthew McConaughey (promoting his new book Poems & Prayers), Pete Buttigieg, and musician Howard Jones. The show's ep on Tuesday, Dec. 23 will be a rerun of the Dec. 15 ep featuring Michelle Obama (discussing her book The Look) and Frankenstein actress Mia Goth.

On Christmas Eve, Jimmy Kimmel Live will air a rerun of its Dec. 18 episode with Macaulay Culkin (who can currently be heard in Zootopia 2 and seen on Fallout), Jason Clarke (star of Murdaugh: Death in the Family), and musical guest Dawes. The show will not air on Christmas Day. On Friday, Dec. 26, the talk show will re-air its Dec. 3 episode with John Cena, Druski, and musical guest Silvana Estrada.
The following week will also see four rerun episodes. On Monday, Dec. 29, we'll see another broadcast of the Dec. 17 episode with Kamala Harris (promoting her book 107 Days) and Wake Up comedian Robby Hoffman. The episode on Tuesday, Dec. 30 will be a rerun of the Dec. 1 episode with Avatar: Fire and Ash actress Zoe Saldaña and musician Paul Anka.
Jimmy Kimmel Live will not air on Dec. 31 to make way for New Year's Eve festivities, but will be back on Thursday, Jan. 1 with a rerun of the Dec. 18 episode with Is This Thing On? star Will Arnett and musician Tobias Jesso Jr. Friday, Jan 2 will see a rerun of the Dec. 18 episode with Abbott Elementary star Quinta Brunson, One Battle After Another and All's Fair actress Teyana Taylor, and musicians Tasha Cobbs Leonard and John Legend.
In his last new broadcast of the year, Kimmel grew emotional as he thanked his audience for supporting Live during a challenging year. "This one, this has been a strange year. It's been a hard year," he said. "We’ve had some lows. We've had some highs. For me, maybe more than any year in my life. But on behalf of all of us — I'm crying already. I'm sorry."

Kimmel took a moment to regain his composure. "On behalf of all of us at the show, I just want to say that we appreciate your support, your enthusiasm," he continued. "And not just for watching this year — you literally pulled us out of a hole, and we cannot thank you enough, personally."

Jimmy Kimmel Live found itself at the forefront of national conversation in September when ABC abruptly suspended the show after affiliate groups like Sinclair and Nexstar preempted the show following a suggestion from FCC Chair Brendan Carr. The groups cited Kimmel's comments about Charlie Kirk's alleged killer as the rationale for the decision. ABC reinstated the show six days after the suspension began.
Jimmy Kimmel Live airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
